Happy June first, few days from now our kids will be back to school. Most of us are busy and dealing with a lot of stress. But as a parent we will do anything for our kids. We want to give them the best education and the best thing in the world.
As a mom, I need to be wise in spending our money as much as possible I have to stick on our budget but I have to admit that there are times that I overspend our budget. Now a days raising a school kid is not easy, tuition fees and books is so expensive. Imagine my Little Kulit books and notebooks cost Php 7000 it triples the price when he was in advance casa. What more the tuition fee, buti na lang no increase this year. But since he will be grade one, iba na uniform niya I need to order new set of uniforms for him with new set of PE uniform also.
To be able to budget his needs for this school year as early as March after his graduation I am saving na, and I took advantage mall sales to be able to score discounted items but in good quality. And as a practical mom, every pay day I buy his stuffs na, I don’t buy isahan lang para it will not cost me too much. And as much as possible buy items that it has a good quality and will last long compare to buy cheap sales then after three months you will buy again.
First week of April, I was able to purchase his new black shoes and rubber shoes. CHICCO is his favorite brand this one really last long for years His lolo’s request is to buy the rubber sole since he is in the stage who loves to run, for his rubber he choose the TRANSFORMER brand his current favorite character. He choose Bumblebee 🙂

i totally agree with your money saving tip…. to buy stuffs every payday. sakit sa bulsa if we buy everything in one shopping. If i have extra time, I do check out school supplies in Divisoria, sayang din yung mase save. Good luck sa new schoolyear ng iyong baby kulit 🙂

I’m not yet ready this school year mukhang cramming ako sa weekend sa pagbalot ng books. hehehe! Like you, I don’t buy ng isahan lang so March pa lang namimili na ko ng ibang needs.

thankfully, as my daughter attends a school by the church (St. Joseph’s Academy), then we don’t really have to buy anything more because it’s already part of the tuition fee… I think it’s the perks of them not having to pay taxes, they give a little back to the parents.. All I’ve been buying for two years now are plastic covers and uniform and now, I need to buy her new rubber shoes cause her older ones are quite small for her feet now 🙂
I just hope that she can cope up with the grades requirement, because I can remember the thousands that we used to spend when buying new school stuff at my day hahaha

We mostly by stuff from my daughter’s school except for bags and shoes. So far, my daughter’s bag which we bought last January is still in great shape. We only need new socks for this school year. 🙂
Going back to school is stressful, not only in terms of money for tuition fee and school supplies, but for us moms the burden of waking up so early in the morning to prepare our kids baon for school and their breakfast. My son went back to school yesterday, and I’m already so tired now. Lol!

Great finds! This reminds me that i have to get my son’s baon bag fixed as the strap is broken already. In his school, they have to use the prescribed bag. Sayang tuloy those baon bags we get from parties hehe.

We’ve bought most of what they need. Still need to buy but just for extras. Great that you got plenty of deals on the stuff you bought. We also got a deal on my eldest son’s white shirts, my daughter’s bras and my youngest’s school bag.

I remember the smell of brand new stuff during school season. I’m always excited for June because my mom and I used to shop and cover my new notebooks! And now I’m doing the same thing with my son!

yes sis 7k now a days, but when he was in pre school around 2500-2800 only kaya imagine the price double now at the same time ang bigat ng things niya
