I have to admit I am not an artistic person as in wala ako talent sa arts, DIY, drawing, cutting etc. Simple straight cut nga hindi ko magawa. But I admire people who have talent on this and I love to see those places that are well decorated lalo na pag DIY. Since my little kulit changed his mind from angry birds to pokemon go theme and we don’t have any time to source where we can get some items I don’t have any choice but to DIY.
Every year we decorated our living room for a theme that he likes, some of the items I asked someone to buy one from me in Party City in US ang dami kasi maganda doon. This year because lack of time I got some inspirations in google and pintrest.
Let’s start with the birthday banner, since we have a lot of printed tarps na I rather to have this one printed and let my husband cut it out for me.
For the invitation, I got this one from printest have it edited and printed. Little Kulit is so happy for this one he excitedly distributed to his classmates.
Since soda is not allowed in the school, I bought bottled water for the kids during his mini party and I just have it labelled by pokemon go characters, super love ito ng mga makukulit na bata.
Here is the finished product
For his birthday balloon I got one big Pikachu ballon character which is in the center and surrounded by 6 balloons to represent his 6th birthday.
This Pikachu character cost Php 15.00 only in Divisoria but if you buy here in Mall 100.00 if kina Manong Balloon vendor Php 50.00
Finally naka survive ako in first attempt for a simple birthday DIY hope someday I can do better than this one. But at least I make my little kulit happy during his special day.

For someone who’s not talented with DIY, you definitely pulled it off. Ako rin wala akong katalent talent sa ganyan pero pag may mga occasions and I feel all the love in the world, bigla akong nagiging creative. Haha! But my mom loves DIY. Ang cool. Way to go mommy!

The birthday banner looks great!! I think you did a great job. Pokemon is a very nice theme. Seeing this, I wouldn’t see that you don’t do DYI stuff often. I think the theme is great and that you had some original ideas. The water bottles and invitations are so nice!

It’s great when your effort is being appreciated by your kids. I love the DIY, not bad for a first timer, it was actually great! Making it frugal and at the same time fun for your kid is a good to go DIY. Your kid is lucky go have a mother like ypu, willing to adjust everything for his happiness. 🙂
Everything combined is super cute, I love what you did on bottled water, and the banner is simple yet, I really love it, it’s really good that there themed itself is based on the birthday celebrant itself because they will really enjoy.
Tignan mo ang ginawa mo. Kids LOVE IT and you did not spend much. That’s the thing kasi with kids eh. Ang mga sosi ang expensive ones kasi are what the parents wants. Kids do not have a concept of spending and savings like we do, so prices do not determine the happiness they feel. Great job sa pagtitipid and yet making it special.
