Last year we went to Metro Market Crazy sale in Alabang, we had a smooth transaction we got a very good deal in most of the items.
This year they have another one day crazy sale last December 3 the store opens from 7am-12mn, I don’t have any plan to go since I will be coming from Quezon City. But when we arrived in Market Market Taguig, I saw a lot of people carrying a metro market shopping bag so I got intrigued. I asked hubby if we can just take a look since we are looking for some pambahay clothes for little kult.
As expected the place is crowded, since tinatamad na ako at napagod na agad ako sa dami ng tao nakita ko, I told myself to go straight in my business and yes I found all the clothes that I am looking for, of course limited size na siya since it’s already 430pm, so I grabbed all the pieces na puwede. Then I asked hubby to fall in line since super haba and we could make turns to roam around. I am not expecting that I am going to fall in line for two hours. Gusto ko na ibalik but I cannot find this items in some other store so we waited patiently. Only to find out why we need to fall in line for hours drives me crazy, once you give the item to the cashier, they will scan it, instead na singilin ka na and print out the receipt, iisa-iisahin uli nila the items that they scan versus the scanned items in the monitor kaya ang tagal tagal. Unlike other mall, automatic naka summarize if how many items so the cashier and the checker can easily check it if there is something missing. Imagine how time consuming for the two parties, some people purchased more than 20k and one by one they will re-check it again manually. I don’t know how they come up with this strategy, no managers or supervisors also in the floor only cashiers so you cannot complain. As expected all the cashiers naka simangot na pag nasita and worst pag ikaw na next customer you can hear it all what are they saying doon sa nag re-reklamo na customer why they are so slow. They won’t even say sorry why or pasensya kasi utos lang sa knila yun, ang sagot talaga sayo isang simangot na mukha. Which is more nakakagigil diba. Kaya next year I don’t know if I will coming back here even they have good pieces if the customer service is not good.
I have to admit, I love mall sales 🙂 but as a customer you are also looking for a good customer service and the number one thing the sales person or cashier must always on smile and I don’t think na it’s appropriate for the cashier or anyone na pinag chismisan agad ang customer na nag complain sa kanila, at the same time na napakaganda simangot ang salubong sayo. By the way they don’t say thank you ha, kahit hindi ako ang nang away sa kanila.
So let me share it to you lovely mommies what I got for my little kulit
Haha..I love how you handled a what could have been a ‘beast mode’ situation. Sometimes we are too tired or not n the mood to make reklamo or comments…The cashiers were lucky since you have the patience of Mother Theresa. As I always say “patience is a virtue” and it is a real blessing too.
I love getting stuffs at discounted prices since I can buy more for my money’s worth, but I totally hate the crowd and the lines at the cashier (such turn offs).
I haven’t heard of that Metro Sale here in alabang. That two hours of waitig was too much!
When it comes to pangbahay, I prefer going to divi, but choose only pure cotton materials for extra comfort. Though I usually find pambahay cotton shorts at the mall, but its too pricey, I also look for SALE items, but I don’t think I can bear waiting that long ?
Ay ang hassle nga Mommy Ana.. Anyway, your litlle kulit has new clothes naman, 😉 Pag mommmy na talaga inuuna muna yung kids kahit sa shopping noh? Minsan kahit wala na tayo mabili for ourselves, basta meron yung kids ok na.. Goodluck on your next shopping! 🙂
correct sis anything for our baby
My sister was insisting that we go on a shopping at Metro in Alabang last year. She was so keen but I was too tamad kasi nga buntis. Sana mag-sale ulit sila and sana by the time na nakapanganak na ako at may time na magshopping. Haha
I think mas okay s ATC in my first experience compare sa MArket Market nakakaloka 🙂
Working in the BPo industry for 7 years, I know ang layo ng customer service ng US and RP. Parang ganon hehe.
correct kasi minsan mentality natin ayaw natin mapahiya ang tao
Wow I was about to go to the Metro Alabang sale. Good thing I didn’t! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Wow! I love sale but yeah, I don’t like crowded places. But what you’ve got is pretty great deal.
Hindi talaga ako makakapagstay ng ganon katagal. Good for you. You stayed. Whenever I see long lines and slow long lines, I just leave no matter how I love the pieces. Haha Customer service is so important. 🙂
correct customer service is a must talaga, usually if SM Sale nakakauna ako s line because of prestige pero grabe kasi pahirap ni metro market isa isahin daw ba uli ang binili sa screen nila wah. Even senior lanes ang haba ng pila
To be honest, I don’t like going to mall sales. Dami tao, long lines, and hard to choose. There is also a tendency to get items you dont really need since its on sale naman. Love the items you got for your little one 🙂
Aw. That’s an awful system. I look for good customer service too wherever I go. Great finds, though! At least bumawi dun.
This is the part of shopping that I do not like. Most of the time, I skip sale days and go only d masyado matao. 🙁
Di ko yata kaya maghintay pag ganyan XD
bad move from the front liner, sila pa naman ang image ng store
Oh you got a pretty cool haul of shopping there! 🙂
Nakakaturn off naman yan! I love sales too but not to the extent that I’ll endure being frowned upon and gossiped on. Okay, I understand that this manual rechecking of things nust be so tiring and troublesome for the cashiers pero di naman kasalanan ng customers yun. We didn’t ask to be given a system like that! They should still make a conscious effort to smile kahit pilit it’s part of the job and customer service is a must.
It’s really nice to buy things kapag sale because you get to buy more items.
What a horrible experience! 🙁 I hope they improve their services soon.
Oh, this is the first time I’m hearing about the Crazy Sale at Metro Market in Alabang. I also love sales and usually delay shopping until there is a sale ongoing. But if there’s a long line like you experienced, I’d rather not shop na lang lalo na if the customer service is that bad.
They have to work smart especially with the long queue. Making the extra effort to faci.itate purchase transactions fast and easy should be tneir priority.
I hope that Market Market admin hears about your feedback.
I hope they’ll do something about the payment process so that customers won’t have to line up for hours. That’s too much of a hassle!
Ay nakakagigil naman talaga yan. If I were there, I will leave the premises at hayaan na sila dyan. Wala kasi akong tyaga heheh.
You can really save money when you buy items with big discounts. Just make sure to carefully check the items if it has been marked down during a sale.
yes 🙂
I’m not a big fan of mall sales because I hate the crowd and long lines but good choice on where to shop. Pag Nanay talaga natututo tayong maghanap ng mga affordable places that can stretch our budget. Yey!
