January 14 is our first out of town trip for this year, we went to Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban Quezon. It’s an extra ordinary trip for us because we are not Catholic and we are not devotee. But whatever our religion is we just one have God, we decided to pay a visit here to pray, wish and ask for guidance in our everyday lives.

It’s my first time here and I am excited and thrilled to climb up the 300 steps, sana makaya ko. Hubby and I just have one wish, we are praying to have another baby for this year or next year and we are hoping for a healthy baby girl, of course our Little Kulit is so excited to pray with us also.
And our journey starts, wah nakakapagod siya as in but I really admire senior people who can still climb up. In my last 40 steps I asked hubby to rest for a while dahil nahihilo na ako sa pagod, buti na lang the weather is good. Little kulit is keep on bugging me while resting he said “Mommy faster we need to see Papa Jesus now”,oh diba hindi ba niya nakikita pagod na pagod na ko he he he 🙂

And finally we are on the top, ang sarap ng hangin and it’s a fulfilment for me, we prayed together for good health, continuous and more blessing, safety and we wished for our baby girl.
What do you expect in climbing up? To be able to see the 50 foot statue of Papa Jesus, you need to pass by the life size statues of 14 Stations of the Cross, sorry I am not Catholic so I cannot explain further what is the meaning each station. But this is a great venue to do your panata or pay visit during Holy Week.
Going down is another struggle, nakakapagod pa din cya ha. Panata talaga!!!!, kasi mahirap siya but what a feeling once you are done parang nakausap mo talaga siya when you are up.
We also passed by in Noah’s Ark it’s a retreat place, Little kUlit is so excited to play with the koi fish.

After our beautiful experience, we had our late lunch in Palaisdaan. Even it’s raining hard we had a great time eating in our floating balsa.

Tips
- Wear comfortable clothes
- Bring water
- Bring something sweet once you feel dizzy
- Bring Towel
- Bring Umbrella
- Don’t climb if you are hungry
- Rest for a while, don’t rush in going up
- Don’t throw your trash anywhere
- Be there as early as possible
- You can park inside the premises

That’s a nice start for the year. I didn’t know na may healing mass pala sila. Kaya ba to go there na uwian lang or it’s best to stay overnight in one of the resorts?
We have been wanting to visit, but cant seem to.find the time to do so. Will again start planning a trip to Kamay ni Hesus.
We tried something like this with toddlers I think 2 years ago. You really have to keep on stopping to rest. Haha and water is very important, plus water bottle for boys to use when peeing. Haha 🙂 candy is a real help thats true. 🙂 I felt my throat getting dry that time. Just had to taste something. 🙂

I want to visit this place din. Lagi ko nakikita sa mga friends ko lalo kapag Holy Week, nagpupunta sila dito. Good thing you gave this place a try, Mommy Anna, kahit di ka Catholic. You’re right, we only have one God 🙂
yes sis sa paniniwala lang natin yan kay God, if pumunta ka be sure you have a full of energy kasi nakakapagod talaga 🙂
Hope we can also visit the place. I am waiting for my husband’s approval if its ok for him to drive going there.
Btw, I hope the baby girl you prayed for will be given to you, in time. Share ko lang, my eldest is a boy, so I planned my next pregnancy and use chinese and ovulation calendar to make sure to have a baby girl.
Luckily, it works! 98% accurate daw yung gender planner, so I gave it a shot?

My Lolo says that the Deveza’s (my relatives from my father’s side) were really from Lucban, Quezon. Yet I’ve never visited Kamay ni Hesus before because my Lolo’s province is in Paracale, Bicol. But I know that Lucban offers delicious foods! I have a friend who lives in Lucban and whenever she comes back to Manila after a weekend in her hometown, she would bring some food prepared from her parents and I always fall in love with whatever she is sharing with me! That’s why I would love to visit the place someday. And visiting Kamay ni Hesus will surely be in the itinerary! 🙂

Ahhhh! 🙂 I always get excited when people talk about my province. I’m a native of Tayabas (where Palaisdaan is). We always go to Kamay ni Hesus before. Not Catholic and not devout. But like you, I believe in God. My husband is Catholic though, so I’ve taken them here last May 2016. It is still holy and enjoyable at the same time. It has actually become quite commercialized lately. It was just the grotto, chapel and the parking lot with all the hand and footprints years back.
Before nga as in groto lang nakikita ko, it’s my first time to climb up lang now.
I’ve heard so much about this place from other bloggers and I’m thinking of going there, too. Is it behind a farm or something? I can’t remember what it is, but it’s connected to another great place you can take the kids to.
They have Noahs arc where the kids can enjoy playing while you or on the top 🙂

What a feat to climb up and down 300 steps (make that double!) to reach the top! Baguio’s Lourdes Grotto has less than that, but it was tiring, especially going up, but it was really worth it to see what’s up there. Hope you get what you fervently wished for.
I never brought my kids yet to anything “religious” although I just started to incorporate the concept to them. Thanks for all the tips. Have to agree with all, especially when kids are around 🙂
Wish granted- baby will come very soon this 2017. Just keep the faith since the Rooster Year is a great year since it is blessed with a luck star that will help fulfill wishes of having a bay. No matter what religion you are practicing the good karma will surely come to deserving people. Doing pilgrims like this is essential in strengthening one’s faith.

I remember when my husband and I were not married yet, we used to go on religious hiking trips like the one you did. I think it helped a lot in strengthening our bond. Having a God-fearing husband is a blessing.

Pilgrims or trips like in Kamay ni Hesus trips are not for Catholics and devotees only. You set a good example to your little Kulit to honor other’s religion and find time to know to whom they pray and ask guidance.

It was a fulfilling yet super tiring climb. If you went to kamay ni Hesus don t forget to do it.
We live in Lucena, so Kamay Ni Hesus is kinda near to us! I miss home… so much! It has been 10 years and I haven’t been back yet! When we finally do visit home, we’ll make sure to visit Kamay Ni Hesus.. and eat at Palaisdaan!
